Combating racism, sexism, and discrimination is deeply important to me, and I am actively involved in outreach initiatives to promote diversity in academia.
At Princeton, I am an active member of the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) initiative at Princeton Physics. I am currently co-president of the Princeton Physics Ambassadors, a group of graduate students in EDI dedicated to supporting undergraduates, especially those from underrepresented minorities (URMs) in physics, planning on applying for graduate school. We organize a series of free webinars throughout the academic year guiding future applicants through things like general graduate application strategies, statement of purpose writing, and CV/Resume writing.
We also host an event called the Prospective Physics Ph.D. Preview (P4), a multi-day workshop where we prepare undergraduates from all over the world to engage in physics research, identify their academic interests, and apply for graduate school. During the event, P4 scholars engage with faculty, postdocs, and graduate students from Princeton Physics.
